The entrance hall at Boothbay Region Elementary School was packed with students, parents and book lovers at the Book Fair Family Night and School Cookout on Sept. 18. Books were available for readers of all ages, many of them priced way below retail.
Outside on the playground, the annual cookout was in full swing. On the grill was BRES principal Mark Tess, while superintendent Eileen King helped serve with the teachers. The menu included hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, salad and cookies for dessert.
All proceeds from the fair went to support BRES.
