Failure of national gun control

Wed, 01/28/2015 - 3:15pm

    Dear Editor:

In light of the “homegrown” terrorist attack in Paris and recent “anti-gun/gun control” letters to the editor, one must ask, “How can guns be kept out of the possession, use and/or control of those who would do harm to others?”

The Paris tragedy represents a glaring example of the total failure of national “gun control” legislation which, in effect, stripped lawful citizenry and, in this example, Paris police, of firearms. I recall one of the fatalities was an unarmed policeman.

The Second Amendment to the Constitution reflects the sole logical solution to the foregoing query by providing citizens with the means to protect their persons, home and property.
