Mrs. Currier’s class at Edgecomb Eddy School released Atlantic salmon eggs into the Sheepscot River on May 17. The class is learning about raising the endangered species from an egg to maturity.

The fish eggs arrived at the school in February. As part of the unit, the students cared for the eggs in a glass tank. The lesson teaches about the Atlantic salmon’s life cycle, survival statistics, predators, and how water pollution effects the species.
