Edgecomb Green residents treated to fresh veggies

Edgecomb Green residents were the happy recipients of fresh vegetables from the Edgecomb Congregational Church Community Garden.

The church and Edgecomb Green are neighbors and Kate Pinkham, the minister made sure that the bountiful harvest was shared with residents. Edgecomb Green manager, Crystal Leeman said that all the residents enjoyed the fresh green beans for supper and the zucchinis were baked into wonderful zucchini bread for all to enjoy.

Edgecomb Green residents sometimes participate in the church luncheons where the fresh veggies are incorporated into the luncheon meal as well.

Edgecomb Green is an eight-bed residential care home located in the building that used to be the Edgecomb Eddy School. Adult Day Services are also available on site at Edgecomb Green daytime, evenings and weekends too. Call 207-882-6723 for more information.
