Dear Editor:

Are there any figures for publication regarding what the contribution to the economy of the Boothbay peninsula has been by the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens these last couple of year in terms of not only dollars, but full and part-time jobs? And how about the impact similarly this past year as a result of the tourists attracted by the Christmas lighting of the commons, downtown, and Festival of Lights at the Gardens?

Has to be impressive and I would hope brought to the attention of all of those concerned about the future of the area. For when the economy picks up so do things like school enrollment, new residents and businesses, and draw to the community so important if we are to maintain the variety of life styles unique to each and every one of us.
