    It's finally here — Early Bird in the Boothbay region.

    The event starts as early as 5 a.m. at East Boothbay General Store (40 percent off gift items), though most stores are opening at 6 a.m.

    Many discounts decrease as the day goes on, so make sure to plan your day around them; see the Early Bird page or buy a copy of the paper to check out all the ads.

    Many stores will have door prize drawings, so be sure and sign up at all the stores you shop in. A printable list of the door prizes is below.

    Watch out for shoppers in crazy costumes and pajamas; that’s what Early Bird is all about.

    Also be sure to stop by the library lawn to see Sarah and Kathy from the Register, grab a cup of their “World’s Best Coffee” and chat about the deals you’ve found.
