Eleven of the 27 Boothbay Region YMCA Dolphin swim team members competed for the first time as the team began its meet season at the Bath YMCA on Nov. 11. Besides Bath and Boothbay, four other teams competed at four-hour meet. Results were not available at press time but Dolphin coach Zach Gray reports that the boys 8 and under relay team took first place and the girls 8 and under relay team took third. Also, many swimmers earned their “Dolphin fins” by posting best times with no disqualifications.

The team is traveling to the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville on Nov. 18 for an 11 a.m. dual meet. The bus will be leaving the Y at 8 a.m.

Thanksgiving Pie Sale: The team will be holding its biggest fundraiser, selling pies for Thanksgiving. Details on the sale will be forthcoming.
