Dianne Daniels joins Sarah J’s Fitness staff

Dianne Daniels is joining Sarah J’s Fitness teaching staff.

Beginning in December, Daniels will offer hatha yoga on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m., and Feldenkrais on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. The cost of each class is $7.

Hatha style yoga is slow moving and very easy to follow, so it is perfect for all levels of fitness. Feldenkrais is a program of movements that help free your body from aches and pains — such as you might experience in the shoulders, knees, back and or neck — and makes everything you do easier. You’ll also notice quick improvements in your posture and flexibility.

“I have had people tell me that after taking a couple of months of Feldenkrais classes, they’re able to do things that they haven’t been able to do in 20 years,” Daniels said. “One elderly woman revealed that before taking these sessions she was barely able to walk a block. But after four months of Feldenkrais classes, she could easily walk for three hours with her grandchildren at Disney Land.”

Daniels is a highly experienced instructor, holding certifications in pilates, personal training, medical exercise, Feldenkrais, and of course, yoga. She has been a “teacher to the teachers,” training those interested in becoming personal trainers and group fitness instructors, as well as presenting continuing education courses for those already in the field. She is also an author, and has two books published, "Exercises for Osteoporosis" and "Pilates Perfect."
