The weather was perfect on Aug. 1, as Lilly Darché, a summer resident of Hunting Island, was married to Haynes Johnston of Pelham, New York.

The wedding ceremony took place at All Saints by-the-Sea Episcopal Church on Southport and was officiated by the Rev. Allison Reed.

The bride and bridesmaids arrived at the church aboard the Nellie G II. The bride's dress was designed by Elizabeth Fillmore of New York City. The bridesmaids wore navy blue while the groomsmen were in gray seersucker suits.

Following the ceremony the bride and groom were whisked away in L'escargot of Hunting Island while the wedding party left aboard the the Nellie G II, heading to the Newagen Inn where the reception was held.

The couple lives in New York City where Lilly works at the Brearley School as a learning specialist. The groom is planning to attend graduate school.
