Tue, 06/12/2018 - 7:00am

Now through Wednesday, June 20 Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ latest online-only sale, “The Curious Collector,” will satisfy yearnings to acquire rare and unusual vintage treasures. Featured will be large selections of early toys and games, vintage radios, African and Asian artifacts, rare books and documents, furniture, china, glass, and other collectible items -- all with modest opening bids.

This 500-lot auction will be conducted simultaneously on three online auction sites: Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ own platform, Thomaston Live; LiveAuctioneers; and Invaluable.

Thomaston Place owner and auctioneer Kaja Veilleux noted: “Many of the objects in this sale are from the estate of an eclectic and prolific Brunswick, Maine collector. He had a great eye, so there should be a lot of interest in these pieces.”

Viewing of the items to be sold online began June 6. Participants can register and place pre-auction (or absentee) bids any time prior to 10 a.m. EST on June 20 when the live auction will commence.  Registered participants may place bids on items as they come up for sale during the auction.

To view the catalog, register and place a bid, visit www.thomastonauction.com, and click on the “Live Online Auction” box on the left side of the home page. Or, click on the links to www.liveauctioneers.com or www.invaluable.com, to view lots, register, and place bids on those sites. All participants must register before placing bids.
