Letter to the Editor

Courteous young people

    Dear Editor:

I work as a volunteer at the front desk of the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library's Used Bookstore. Last week I had a very rewarding experience when a group of about 15 students from our elementary school called The Bookers, under the guidance of teacher Rita Arnold, came in to purchase books.

These young students were the most polite, well-mannered girls and boys one could only imagine. They were respectful of one another, quiet, friendly, and a real joy to chat with. They purchased books and more books for themselves as well as for their parents and friends, too. We all had a delightful time in so many ways.

I sincerely hope these young folks will come back soon as a group for another fun time in our Used Bookstore. Thanks to all of you "Bookers" for a really great afternoon!
