The Coast Guard Station in Boothbay Harbor has received some hardware for taking care of its hardware.

The Coast Guard Station was recently awarded with the Sumner I. Kimball Award, which is given to the station that keeps exemplary care of boat material equipment, boat and personal protective equipment, and has superlative crew proficiency and compliance with training requirements and readiness.

The award is named after Kimball, who served in the Coast Guard from 1861 to 1915 and whose training regimens are still used today.
