Class of 1955 holds reunion

Wed, 07/01/2015 - 11:45am

The Boothbay Harbor High School 60th class reunion was held on June 24 at Brown Brothers Restaurant. Of the 32 in the graduating class of 1955, nine were in attendance.

The dining room was decorated with original song sheets of the 1950s, programs of our minstrel shows, class play and graduation ceremonies. A great dinner was followed by war stories, remembrances of passed classmates and each gave an update of their last few year’s experiences. The class was the last to graduate from the old high school building on School Street in Boothbay Harbor.

The following day the class met for a lobster roll lunch on the deck at the Richardsons’ home. Dessert was a boat ride to Burnt Island and a ride around the harbor ending up by participating in the Antique Boat Parade. Another fun day in Maine!
