The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library welcomes children’s author and illustrator, Laurie Burgdorff, who will read, discuss and sign her newly published book, “The Human Balloon,” from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, in the library’s upstairs multi-purpose room. 

“The Human Balloon” is a sweet story of imagination, friendship, love and forgiveness, filled with Burgdorff’s beautiful watercolor paintings, which will be read to the children at the library’s Story Hour on Friday at 10 a.m. After the story, there will be a special craft and balloons for the children.
