Mon, 09/12/2016 - 10:15am

The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce announces two additional chefs, Chef Fabrizio Ventricini, executive chef at Ports of Italy and Chef Delroy “Dice” Bennett, will be participating in the 5th Annual Claw Down lobster-bite competition. We now have 13 chefs competing this year! Claw Down, an annual event sponsored by the Chamber, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 6-9 p.m. at the Ocean Point Marina in East Boothbay.

At the Claw Down attendees sample all of the savory offerings along with a selection of beers and wines from the craft brewers and vintners. Guests and a panel of celebrity judges choose their favorite “bite” in this moveable feast held in the beautifully transformed boatyard.

Claw Down is a great way to celebrate what is uniquely special about the Boothbay Harbor region - and show off the prowess of the participating chefs. The Chamber welcomes these 13 chefs, the “main ingredient,” of this event to the competition: Chef Fabrizio Ventricini,  Chef Delroy “Dice” Bennett; Chef Karin Guerin, Boathouse Bistro & Tapas Bar; Chef Ed Yarmosh, Boothbay Harbor Country Club; Chef Timothy Murray, Boothbay Harbor Inn, Chef Margaret Salt McLellan, Fleur De Sel Catering; Chef Michael Morrissette, Herringbone’s; Chef Zach Miller, Lobsterman’s Wharf; Chef Ralph Smith, Mine Oyster; Chef John Reed, Oliver’s at Cozy Harbor; Chef Timothy Fain (with sous chef Justin Doyle), Spruce Point Inn; Chef Kelly Patrick Farrin, Carriage House; and Chef Mark Osborn, Topside Inn. Good luck to you all!
