Dear Editor:

Nancy Roberts’ family and I thank all who made the celebration of Nancy’s life at the Tugboat Inn Lounge on Saturday, Sept. 27 very special for her. We particularly wish to thank Bonnie Stover and the Tugboat staff for their attention to detail, Boothbay Region Greenhouses for the excellent flower arrangements, Hall Funeral Home in Boothbay, and pastor Tom Kerr for his spiritual participation.

Wonderful music was provided by Wayne Keene, Kay Brown and June Rose, and June wrote and read a very thoughtful poem for Nancy.

Nancy’s daughter and son shared some anecdotes, as did I, about Nancy’s life. This was followed by about 50 or 60 individuals in attendance sharing with each other. It was a beautiful, clear day for the celebration. Nancy will be missed but surely remembered by her relatives, friends and me.

Nancy did a lot of volunteer work in Palm Beach Shores, Florida, Brunswick and Boothbay Harbor. Readers are reminded that the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, for which she had volunteered, would appreciate your donations. The address is: LCAS, P.O. Box 7, 27 Atlantic Highway, Edgecomb, ME 04556.
