Mon, 08/10/2015 - 3:45pm

The Olde Bristol Days 2nd annual Vintage Car Show organizers announced that all types of vehicles are participating in this year’s show on Aug. 15, including rare and unusual cars and trucks not often seen.

Already scheduled to be there, amongst others, are a 1930 Model A Woody Wagon, 1957 Corvette, 1974 Jeep Commando, 1957 Corvette, and traveling all the way from Verona Island (Bucksport) a replica 1902 Cadillac Pie Wagon.

Car Show organizers are excited to offer the new “Kid’s Pick” trophy this year. Children 12 and under will cast their votes for favorite car or truck, with no specific voting guidelines offered. It’s all about their favorites, which could include myriad thoughts and reasons. Olde Bristol Days is for the family, so parents are encouraged to bring their kids to the car show for a hands-on voting experience.

Vintage Car Show participants, and Olde Bristol Days visitors alike, will enjoy the on-site, diverse cuisine offered by this year’s food vendors, including authentic Maine Lobstahrolls, expressos and lattes, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, popcorn, candy and more. Renowned seafood restaurant, The Contented Sole, is literally steps away for cocktails and dockside dining. Those showing their vehicles are also welcome to bring along picnics to enjoy. After all, the OBD Vintage Car Show overlooks John’s Bay, one of the most beautiful sites in the state.

It’s not too late to enter the car show. Four trophies will be awarded. To reserve space: email: jftv1@verizon.net or call 207-677-3707.
