BRHS Project Graduation 2015 Winter Carnival March 1

Fri, 02/27/2015 - 8:15am

Boothbay Region High School seniors are gearing up for graduation this coming May 29, 2015 and will be ready to celebrate post-graduation. In order to help raise funds for Project Graduation, the students, parents, and community supporters are hosting a ‘Winter Carnvial’ this coming Sunday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Boothbay Region High School.

Come out and enjoy the sun with snowballs, ponies and fun! Pony rides, photo ops with your favorite movie characters, yummy hot food and drinks, games, prizes, competitions and more! Concessions for cash and donations are appreciated!

Project Graduation is an overnight alcohol and chemical free, adult supervised, post-graduation event and celebration. Project Graduation originated in Oxford Hills in 1980, and emerged after a total of 18 people died during two graduation seasons due to alcohol-related crashes. For thirty-five years this state initiative has been recognized as a prototype for the nation, helping to protect lives during a season of celebration. The philosophy works because students make a conscious choice to enjoy post-graduation events without alcohol or other drugs.

We are proud our seniors have made this decision and we need your support to provide this potentially life saving event for our graduates. Will you join us and support the talented BRHS Class of 2015? Hope to see you there! We need your support!
