BRES runners win at Lincolnville

It took the Boothbay Region Elementary School cross country team longer than expected to arrive at Lincolnville to run their third meet of the season on Sept. 25, but that didnʼt distract them from what they needed to accomplish.

Competing against Lincolnville, Isleboro, Oceanside and Appleton, Boothbayʼs girls and boys teams ended out on top. The weather was great for running the 2.2-mile course.

Team scores: Girls: Boothbay 21, Lincolnville (LCS) 34, Appleton (AVS) 118; Boys: Boothbay (BRES) 27, Lincolnville (LCS) 29, Oceanside 105.

Top 7 for girls: 1st place: Faith Blethen (BRES) 14:35, 2nd place: Miranda Dunton (LCS), 3rd place: Glory Blethen (BRES) 15:20, 4th place: Rachel Gentry (BRES) 15:48, 5th place: Haley Abbott (BRES) 15:50, 6th place: Phoebe Root (LCS) 16:11, 7th place: Kristina Kelly (LCS) 16:20.
