Brenda Keene Gremillion, 67, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died Dec. 16, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She was born in Boothbay Harbor, daughter of James E. and Regina Matthews Keene.

Brenda grew up in Boothbay and attended local schools. She joined the Jobs Corps in 1967 and returned to Boothbay and took care of Dr. Harold Clifford's wife.

She was a member of the East Boothbay Methodist Church and a former member of the Eastern Stars.

She moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1977 where she met and married Ted Gremillion. They attended Word of Faith church in New Orleans, where they met. They had two children and lived in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina, then relocated to Baton Rouge. Brenda was passionately involved with The Women's Aglow Ministries.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ted Gremillion; her two children, Sarah Gremillion of Metairie, Louisiana and Chris Gremillion of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a grandson, Ronald Bouvier III of Metairie, Louisiana; her sister, Regina Godfrey of Southport; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A. Hamilton Platinum Funeral Services.

The funeral service was held at Jefferson Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Monday, Dec. 22.

Internment was held at The Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana.
