The Seahawk field hockey team (1-2-1) battled the Winthrop Ramblers to a 3-3 double overtime draw on Friday, Sept. 12 and lost to a good Lisbon team, 3-0, on Saturday, Sept. 13.

At Perkins Field Friday, Boothbay sophomore Nicole Clarke tied the game at 3-3 with a goal at the 2:46 mark in regulation. Both teams didn't get a good shot at the goal during the two eight-minute overtime periods so the game ended in a tie.

Boothbay also received goals from freshman Page Brown off an assist by freshman Sydney Meader. Meader also scored on an unassisted goal in the second half which tied the game at 2-2.

Emma Conrad gave Winthrop the lead with a goal with just over six minutes to play before Clarke's goal tied the game. Also scoring goals for Winthrop were Julie McConnell and Sarah Spahr.

At Lisbon, Boothbay began its fourth game of the week at 11 a.m.

"It was also our third road game of the week and after playing two overtimes on Friday, I think the girls did very well (against Lisbon)," said Boothbay coach Donna Jordan.

"Erica Eames had an outstanding game in goal, making 28 saves on 31 shots," said Jordan.

Lisbon had 11 penalty corners in the first half and Boothbay only gave up six more in the second half. Boothbay only managed four corners for the game.

Boothbay was scheduled to travel to Dixfield Monday, Sept. 15 for its fourth road game of the season.
