    Thank you community

The outpouring of support, kindness and love from the people of the Boothbay peninsula for Set For Success is simply breathtaking.

It would be impossible to list every person … many of whom we have never met who open their hearts and give.

Hundreds of AOS 98 public school elementary students have been equipped with the required school supplies to return to school “Set For Success.” It is about community and coming together, building bridges of hope and educational support to our families and our teachers.

Thank ou twelve community churches, local businesses, Boothbay Harbor YMCA staff and Andy Hamblett. Thank you Big Al for amazing product support. To Dave Benner and his school custodial staff and to the many volunteers who lugged hundreds of boxes of school supplies from storage to the main arena and helped with table set up, and breakdown, etc. Thank you so much.

To the 30-plus event booth folks who joined with us on event day … Over the top with valuable teachings in marine science, railway history, health screenings for eyes, health, nutrition and dental support, a Bounce House, Girl Scout cookies, essential oil sugar scrubs, gifts of personal hygiene products, church youth opportunities, BRES PTO, Food Pantry, garden education, clothing, shoes, books and so much more. To Boothbay Harbor Hannaford, Evelyn Andrews, for always being by our side and Annette Nager and her team of creative professional hair stylists and nail techs, from Eames Hair Salon, Hair It is and Shear Artistry Family Hair Salon — thank you for helping our kids feel so special with haircuts and nail art.

On behalf of Boothbay Region Community Resources Council, Set For Success being one of the council’s seven programs … Your overwhelming support is extremely appreciated.

Mark your calendars, Set For Success 2017 is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 20 at the YMCA Field House, Boothbay Harbor.
