The Boothbay Region High School Seahawk football team’s struggles on the gridiron continued on Friday, Oct. 17 as the football team dropped to 2-4 with a 31-8 loss at Winthrop/Monmouth.

The second win of the season for Boothbay came on a technicality as Traip Academy had to forfeit its wins because of the use of an ineligible player who was in his ninth semester.

The Seahawks wrap up the regular season on Friday night when they travel to Old Orchard Beach to face the Seagulls, with the playoffs starting the following week.
