    The snow is too deep to see the red clay and the lines but our new tennis director is ready to go when the winter clears and warmer winds dust our courts. Chantelle Lavertu will be the major domo of the courts and she comes to us from a brilliant Carreras at Bowdoin College where in 2013 she created the record books. Speaking of the tennis courts, this year they will be available for play well into October (unless it snows)!

    Commodore Bob Scribner tells this reporter that the search for a master chef is well underway and that there is a broad and high qualified field of applicants. Interviewing and selecting a chef is both a difficult and time consuming quest so occasional tidbits of information is an encouraging sign.

    While on the subject of eating, the Lunch Bunch continues to gather at Le Garage but the business men's lunch has moved to China by the Sea because of construction work at McSeagulls.

    If you are reading this before Thursday night remember that the monthly gathering is indeed tonight at the Lancasters’ home on Atlantic Avenue.
