The choice of what shirt to wear faces us men every day when we rise. Abby Smith and the Ships Store team are trying to help make that decision easier, at least, when it comes to summer.

There is a pre-order form available on the website, and if you fill it out and turn it in to Abby by March 4, she can have the shirts ordered, embroidered, and in stock when the ships store opens.

The embroidery shop has new owners, so we have to afford them sufficient time to handle our special orders. We also need to say thanks to Laura Bosio for the many years in which her team made all of us look good!

Last summer not all of the needed sizes were in stock when desired and this is a conscious attempt by the stores “keepers” to be proactive in serving the needs of their attentive public. Abby also reports that there will be several new types of clothing available for both men and women when the seasons stock is unveiled. The dress shirts are available in two new colors including yellow with neck sizes up to 18 and sleeve lengths to 37 inches. The store will open on club opening day and will be open every Thursday night for the regular cocktail parties.

We wished bon voyage to several members who were headed south this week for the winter reunion in Key West. Some people are just smart enough to get away when the getting is good. Enjoy.
