Dear Editor:

Saturday , Feb. 10 was the first ever Boothbay Frozen Court Classic JV basketball tournament. Six teams participated in the one day tournament which included teams from Winthrop, Dirigo, Medomak, Spruce Mountain, Gardiner and Boothbay with well over 200 in attendance.

The fundraiser was a success thanks to numerous sponsors and donors, including our top sponsor, First National Bank, along with Bath Savings, Hannaford, The Ames family, The Thistle Inn, East Boothbay General Store, Ports of Italy, Janson’s Clothing Store, The Boothbay Register and Steve Edwards, Sea Glass Spa, Wicked Whoopies, Coastal Mane Popcorn, Eventide Specialties, Larry Knapp, Caper’s Catering, Pier One Pizza, Boothbay Harbor Apparel, Clayton Pottle and the family, friends and supporters of the Boothbay Region Seahawk basketball teams. Also a special thanks to the school for hosting the event and the parents for donating their time and the great homemade food that was enjoyed by all.
