The Boothbay boys varsity basketball team wore down the Telstar Rebels in the second half and finished the regular season with an 83-61 home victory at Porter Memorial Gymnasium Thursday night.

The Seahawks had four players in double figures with Eli Gudroe and Steve Reny scoring 18 each, followed by Kyle Ames with 17 and Hunter Crocker with 10.

Blake Rothwell led Telstar, which only had six players for the game, with 28 points, followed by Jarrett Bean with 23. Bean scored the 1,000th point of his career on a three-pointer early in the second quarter.

The Seahawks finished the season at 13-5 and await the final Heal point standings to see if they will be hosting a tournament prelim game while seeded sixth or they could finish fifth and earn an opening round game in Augusta at the Class C South tournament.
