‘Boothbay In Bloom’ Fashion Show a success

The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce held its annual fundraiser, The Boothbay in Bloom Fashion Show, Silent Auction and Cocktail Party, at the Spruce Point Inn Resort & Spa on July 11.

Participants included long-time local retailers featuring the latest in fashions, jewelry and accessories. Vendors included: allen david Gallery, The Loft, A Silver Lining, Sadie Green’s Curiosity Shop, Boothbay Region Greenhouses, Slick’s Boutique, Calypso, Sweet Bay, The Cannery, The Villa, Creative Turtle, Janson’s, House of Logan, Village Store & Children’s Shop, John Edwards Jewelry & Design.

Fashion Show co-chairs and local store owners Lindy Bragg and Sarah Wilcox coordinated a fun show with a bevy of models including Mischa Barker, Brian Blethen, Leslie Blethen, Briana Field, Jen Field, Valerie Giles, Ashlee Hamel, Kait Iuzzolino, Judy Johnson, Amber Jones, Penda Jones, Carol McKenna, Morgan Mitchell, Andrew Morley, Sarah Morley, Sally Munroe, Cagney O’Brien, Heather O’Brien, Kaylyn Raymond, Kim Raymond, Jill Ryan, Riley Sullivan, Margaret Tew, Emma Thiesen and Zakia Thiesen.

Event co-chair and local store owner Dianne Gimbel customized several centerpieces that added a burst of color to the Red, White and Blue theme for this year’s event.

Doug Gimbel and D.J. Lamontagne ran the music for the fashion show while Mark Gimbel and assistants Adele and Andrew Bielle provided the signage for all the vendors. Carrie Langlois, Sol Kechner and Kathy Ward were incredibly helpful in organizing all the items backstage.

Special thanks to Spruce Point Inn Resort & Spa for donating its catering staff and the beautiful Pemaquid Hall for the event. Executive Chef Stiles presented a variety of delicious appetizers while guests enjoyed the cash bar and refreshing lemonade.

The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all the vendors that donated an item making the silent auction a major success. Guests enjoyed viewing, bidding, and leaving at the end of the night with their hands full of fun auction items.

All proceeds from the Boothbay In Bloom fundraiser benefit the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce.
