Boothbay: Another Flint Michigan?

Tue, 07/11/2017 - 11:30am

Dear Editor:

There will be zero ($0.00) business. No tourists, when water stops just like in Flint, Michigan. Are you choosing short term money over your kid's life? Boothbay's town water is quickly being destroyed. Phosphorous overload. LKL is anoxic below 9 meters. A dead zone. Ready for an algae bloom? These are scientific reports from DEP, BRWD.

People need to be quickly running into the town office asking why are you allowing our drinking to be poisoned by runoff from CMBG? Holding signs at the entrance to the CMBG “Gardens” would turn many people away when they learn of the poisoning for profit parking lot hazard. CMBG, on Thursday, June 29, was issued a Notice of Violation by the DEP. Take action before we repeat Flint, Michigan.
