Beverly Emma (Loomis) Galvin of Boothbay Harbor died peacefully with loving family by her side on November 17, 2015.

She was born on February 5, 1929 to Nathan and Amy (Wilcott) Loomis in Concord, New Hampshire.

Beverly was an artist who created greeting cards for Rustcraft Greeting Card Company in Dedham, Massachusetts. She went on to own her gift shop called “Nana’s” in Avon, working as an artist, sculptor and crafter.

Her interests included gardening, sewing and crafts, and she also enjoyed camping, scuba diving and loved to travel.

Beverly’s dream of living in a log cabin came true 18 years ago when she moved to Boothbay Harbor and bought her home in Sprucewold, where she lived the remainder of her years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Schroeder and son-in-law, Richard, of West Virginia; her granddaughters, Cherie Caruso and Analisa Allshouse, also of West Virginia; five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held for Beverly on Saturday, November 21 at 2 p.m. at Hall’s of Boothbay, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay. Tracy Varney will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gregory Wing, 145 Emery Lane, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.
