Appreciation dinner planned for area lobstermen

    Area veterans will be thanking local lobstermen for their participation in the cruise and cookout event held for Lincoln County veterans recently, by holding a dinner in their honor on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the American Legion Hall in Boothbay.

    All veterans, lobstermen and spouses/significant others are invited to dine on an Italian feast prepared by chef and caterer Amy Ronan who will be serving spaghetti and meatballs, salad, Italian bread, blueberry cake and ice cream.

    Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6.

    There will be two guest speakers: Palmer Payne – “A Letter From a World War II Veteran” and George Whitten, a World War II combat engineer, “Building Bridges.”

    Suggested donation — except for the lobstermen and their spouses/significant others — is $8 per person.
