Appreciates the support

    Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Boothbay Community Ice Rink, we'd like to thank all those who took part in the children's games at the Boothbay Civic Association's Fourth of July celebration. Our joint objective was to raise both funds and awareness for the rink. Our goals were successfully met, as $171 was raised in donations, and word was spread about the existence of the rink. We even recruited some new volunteers to help shovel, which is always appreciated.

For more information about the ice rink, which is located at the Boothbay Fire Station on Route 27 each winter, please visit "Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor Community Ice Rink" on Facebook.

Also, a child's purse was left at the face painting station. To identify and claim it, please call 207-633-2194. Lastly, if anyone has seen a silver and black Kodak camera, which was last seen at the kids' games area, I would love to have it back, or at least the SD card, which has lots of precious family and event photos on it. It could be mailed or dropped off to 197 Adams Pond Road, Boothbay, ME 04537.

Thanks so much to the Boothbay Civic Association for all they do and we hope to see you at the rink this winter.

    Eve Conlin and family

    Boothbay
