Dear Editor:

On July 22 at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, my family and I hosted a thank you celebration for people from this community who made it possible for me to produce www.route27south.com, a documentary project featuring profiles of several residents of the Boothbay peninsula.

I want to offer thanks again to Cathy Sherrill, Susan Brackett, and the staff at the opera house, and to Liz Evans for providing the delicious food. But above all I want to express gratitude to the subjects of my work who allowed me to share their lives in photographs and sound, and to friends and family who provided support and ideas.

“Route 27 South” has been a labor of love from the start, and my affection for this region and its generous residents just continues to deepen. I’m looking forward to adding more stories to the project for as long as I’m able.
