Today at Spruce Point Inn...

 

Abundant sunshine. High 64F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. Tonight, mostly clear. Low near 45F. Winds light and variable.

 

Tonight we will be filming another time lapse sequence of the evening hours at SPI. "Draft 2" will be facing west again towards Southport Island. This time, we are ready for the "dew".  A lens heater should do the trick. The shoot will be approximately 4 hours (700 frames) beginning at 6 pm. Conditions look promising. Stop by. We are just down from the Sunset Lodge --- on the shore. Here is a link to a segment of "draft 1".

 

This is a perfect day for a tour of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Just a 10 minute drive from SPI, the Gardens are conveniently close and absolutely spectacular. Discounted passes are available for you at the SPI reception desk.

  

The Boothbay Harbor Country Club has just opened its new front nine holes and we highly recommend a round if you have the time. Golf club rentals are available in the Pro Shop. The club is also an excellent spot for lunch.

During our Fall season, a lite lunch is available for order at the Front Desk. We find the front porch of the Inn or the Library, a perfect spot to relax. And, we will also pack to go.

 

Tonight in Bogies, in addition to our full menu, Chef Brooks will prepare a special 3 course Prix Fixe.

Ainne will mix one of her signature cocktails at 5 pm. And, our fine dining restaurant, 88, will be open from 6 - 9 pm.
