Quarry Hill Gives Moody Sweet Send-Off After 36 Years of Service

For 36 years, Gail Moody of Lincolnville (at right in photo with housekeeping director Judy Harrington) made keeping house for literally hundreds of patients and residents at Quarry Hill and the former Camden Health Care Center look like a piece of cake.  So it was fitting that Quarry Hill marked the beloved housekeeper’s retirement last week with this super-sized confection shown here —along with an afternoon full of congratulations, gifts, and hugs from residents and staff members.

Harrington said Moody leaves behind a spotless record of service. “Gail was truly dedicated to her job and to our residents. In the 16 years I’ve known her, I could count on one hand the number of times she missed work. Her unflappable grace, patience, and can-do attitude made her a role model for us all, not just within her department, but throughout Quarry Hill.”

Excellence runs in the Moody family. Last month, Gail’s daughter, Linda Meservey, a certified nursing assistant at Quarry Hill, was one of 17 Maine healthcare workers cited for “Excellence in Caregiving” by the Maine Health Care Association.
