Twenty-three Corporators joined together to receive updates about the Library from the 2017 Board Officers: President Wendy Ross-Eichler, Secretary Pam Dunning and Treasurer Tom Boudin. Also reporting to the Corporators were Library Director Pam Dunning and Friends of the Library President Linda Winterberg.

    Tom and Lee Ann Szelog documented their experience of looking closely at their 70 acres of the Maine woods, during the passage of one full year, through writing and Tom’s photography.  Tom gave himself the challenge to find and photograph, within his property, at least one interesting, surprising, beautiful, or memorable wildlife or nature image every week, for an entire year.

    This winter session will include looking at copies of Charlie Knight’s journals/diaries. Knight, a Main Street village businessman, kept daily records during the years from 1880 through 1930.  These include interesting information of the Wiscasset village in that era, as well as fascinating reports on the snow fall and cold that impacted the lives during this 50 year period.
