Concert ~ Noel Paul Stookey

Event has passed

Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary continues to be one of the most notable activist folk singers from the 1960s era of America’s Folk music revival and returns to the Camden Opera House on Saturday, September 3rd 2016 at 7:30 pm to headline Camden’s Windjammer Festival Weekend.  Stookey’s performance marks his second non-consecutive year headlining the Windjammer event.

Stookey has been altering both the musical and ethical landscape of this country and the world for decades —both as the “Paul” of the legendary group and as an independent musician who passionately believes in bringing the spiritual into the practice of daily life.  He and his wife Elizabeth have created a multifaith presentation ONE LIGHT, MANY CANDLES (www.onelightmanycandles.org),  which they present nationally.
Funny, irreverently reverent, thoughtful, compassionately passionate, Noel’s voice is known all across this land: from the “Wedding Song” to “In These Times” and we heartily welcome him back to our Windjammer Festival!

Tickets: general admission $22 advance and $25 door and $16 advance and $20door for seniors 65 and older; children 12 and under.  Available at www.camdenoperahouse.com, (207)536-5850,  Camden Town Office M-F 9AM -3PM for a no fee walk-up.
