Many book characters came to life at the Wiscasset Public Library on the afternoon of Friday, October 17 to compete for prizes in the categories of scariest, most original and most authentic. The costumed group of readers paraded around the perimeter of the library’s backyard to the spooky theme music from what else? The Harry Potter motion picture. Everyone was a winner in the end by receiving fun Halloween treat bags generously provided by Big Al’s.
