BRLT ‘Pix at the Preserves’ Singing Meadows

Hike with local photographer, Laurie Knowlton, on the trail with your digital camera to capture the beauty of Singing Meadows Preserve, Cross Point Road in Edgecomb. This is a series of photo hikes at different BRLT Preserves. The hike will begin at 7:30 a.m. Then, proceed to the BRLT office for a session on basic digital editing skills. Singing Meadows is a 16-acre hardwood-rimmed field, once part of an old saltwater farm. It is a haven for a wide variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, fox and moose. The crickets, katydids, grasshoppers and cicadas add their “voices” to the amphibians croaking and the birds’ songs, making this truly a ‘Singing Meadow.’ For more information call Laurie at 350-5056 or visit her at her business, Saucy Contessa, or call Boothbay Region Land Trust at 633-4818.
