State board delays

approval of jail budgets

Sixth Rock Skipping contest

set for Saturday, July 11

Although it’s difficult to call this "summer," the truth is that we’ve gone past June 21, the official first day of this season. Summer on the coast brings with it thoughts of lunch on the rocks, swimming off the rocks, making cairns with rocks and throwing rocks. And, in these parts, these thoughts lead to Orne’s International Rock Skipping Contest, this year celebrating its sixth annual.

Joe doll that he could be right out of central casting.
