BRHS cross-country team

takes third at Regionals

The Boothbay Region High School boys’ cross-country team has shown this fall that last year’s winnings were no fluke. These Seahawks are trained competitors and they are in it to win -- whatever the circumstances. This year, the BRHS team has won meet after meet even though at times without key runners.

Lady Seahawks receive awards

Coach Laurie Dickinson, second-year field hockey coach at Boothbay Region High School, got emotional at times, especially when it came to saying good-bye to her seniors, but she held it together for the hour-long awards night ceremony held October 27 at BRHS.

Maine high school football

state games to be on radio


For the first time in over two decades, the state of Maine’s high school football title games will be broadcast on local radio. MBR.org and CMSB Media will be producing the broadcasts after recently reaching a deal with the Maine Principals’ Association. The games will air on 96.3 The Big Jab on November 21.

Turkey Shoot results from final two events

Twenty shooters were present for Sunday, October 25 Turkey Shoot at the Boothbay Region Fish and Game Club located on the Dover Road in Boothbay. On this beautiful fall Sunday, temperatures remained in the 60 degree range.
