Commissioners unhappy with jail consolidation

Lincoln County Commissioners made it clear to County Sheriff Todd Brackett at their meeting Tuesday morning that they are unhappy with the way the jail consolidation law is playing out for the county jails.

Water District moves forward
with East Boothbay upgrade

At their October 27 meeting, the Boothbay Region Water District Board of Trustees considered progress on the East Boothbay water main upgrade project, concerns of the West Harbor Pond Association, and possible future water system upgrades on Commercial Street and to serve the planned Bigelow Laboratories facility in East Boothbay.

Special town meeting in Boothbay November 9

same-sex marriage bill
In Tuesday’s Election Day voting, Maine voters rejected the same-sex marriage bill, however, each of the area towns, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb and Southport, voted not to overturn the bill.

Turkey Shoot results from final two events

Twenty shooters were present for Sunday, October 25 Turkey Shoot at the Boothbay Region Fish and Game Club located on the Dover Road in Boothbay. On this beautiful fall Sunday, temperatures remained in the 60 degree range.
